The answer to that question is not as simple as one might think.
If you have a website that has been up for a while, it is probably safe to say that it needs a redesign. Why? Because the internet moves fast; your website should be able to keep up with it. If it doesn’t, you will lose customers and potentially even your business. The thing is, not all websites need redesigns. Some are just fine where they are at and don’t need much work done on them at all. If there are no major issues with your site, then we recommend doing nothing at all unless there’s a reason to do so (like an upcoming event).

We Are Designers, We Are Not Gods

A website redesign is a tough decision to make, but it’s also one of the most important decisions you can make. A website redesign is more than just changing the color scheme or updating your content. It’s about creating an experience for your customers that will help them find what they’re looking for and then engage with your brand. If you have a small business and don’t know where to start, here are a few questions to ask yourself when considering a site redesign: Is your current website design outdated or not working as well as it once did? Has the way people use the internet changed since you first built your site? Are you using mobile-friendly components on all pages?

Whether you need a site redesign or not depends on your goals, current traffic, and sales. If you have a relatively new website, you may be able to get away with just adding a few features here and there. If your site is older and hasn’t really been updated since the early 2000s, then it might be time for a full design overhaul.
